What happened today? Today I went to the matress shop and looked at the mattress for the new place. It is quite interesting to see all the mattress type and finally feel the difference between latex and memory foam. Overall the pocketed coil feel very sturdy but the firm latex still feel soft overall. I also went to see a near by lake to view the surrounding areas. It will a good change of pace. ...

What happened today? I did some research about audio equipment today mostly about headphones, microphones, and amps. There were some interesting finding on the type and suggestion in the community but overall it feels like a bit overwhelming. I also did some learning today. I set up the codeium in the neovim and find it somewhat useful. The one thing i notice is that the codeium takes some delay to generate the response in the prompt. The prompt is show up as some auto complete option rather than some syntax hint. I am not sure if that’s better or worse in term of the experience. It gives faster way to cycle through the options but a little hard to view the result. Will use the tool for a few more days and see what happens ...

What happened today? Today I spent a bit of time looking at sofa and the various brand associated with the sectional. I wasn’t able to find a concrete answer in regarding to the brand or type of sofa which is durable in the long term. I also setup the Joplin instead obsidian as I feel that the overall notes should be easily shared across mobile and not require to jump through hoops in order to view and update the notes on my mobile phone. ...

The weather is a little rainy but overall pretty chill and enjoyable day out. During the day I research into various appliances such as air fryer, grill as well as speaker and receiver for a home theater setup. Refer to the notes for more information. ...

Notes Entry Air Fryer

Notes Entry Air Fryer Air fryer is meant to be similar to a convection oven that circulate the hot air within the chamber and evenly cook all area of the food without flipping. The following are some key consideration I thought of went looking at the Air fryer. ...

Journal Entry 2025-05-07 Today I procrastinated a lot and couldn’t focus on work related items. I mostly completed the task assigned and meeting arranged without going above and beyond. I read some article today that I should focus on enjoyable work and eliminate un-enjoyable work to ensure you go above and beyond. I will try to incorporate this more into my mentality as I continue to work to help me stay motivated. I was mainly distracted also because we were able to get through the offer for one of the house and that got me thinking about setting up the house and installing various things. Namely, I spent a lot of time learning about the composite material of a mattress and understanding the internal of the mattress. I had planned out a list of item to purchase to build my ideal mattress and find out some similar build mattress to test out some similar build in some box store. ...

Journal Entry 2025-05-04 Today I continue to refined my setup across both my MacOS and Linux quick start. I was able to complete the integration of two new tool. Tmux-sessionizer and fzf-tab zsh plugin. I also learn more about fzf in general and get more familiar with the process of development using the cli environment. Overall it feel very enjoyable however it also seems very time consuming to fully get the setup of the tool suite the exact way that I want to. Overall, it is still an enjoyable experience to learn more about the development tooling and application. ...

Journal Entry 2025-05-03 Today we return from Richland back to Seattle to visit some open house. I had a discussion with parent and my brother about the housing options. The options which the family are interested in are located with backyard adjacent to a major path way to a neighborhood. I personally fear that the backyard will be too noisy but the rest of the family don’t think so. Since the room indoor and pretty quite so I didn’t ultimately give the objection to this. Hopefully this doesn’t become annoying or disruptive in the future. ...

Journal Entry 2025-05-02 Today, I went took a pto day and went to the hanford, one of the plutonium production facility during the WWII to make the atomic bomb. I seen plenty of historic sites and the previous building. While most of the buildings have collapsed, there are still sign and history story remain from the tour guide. For the reminder of the day, I spend the rest of the day relax by the pool of the hotel. It was quite hot so the pool were refreshing. I also went out for biking along the Columbia river bank. Overall, this has been a good relaxing trip to help me de-stress from the day to day work. Although I didn’t spent time learning about new tech related information today, I feel it is still valuable experience to see some of the past lives from people who had to go through extreme hardship. The original resident of the village there were evicted with little compensation and the worker that came in to build the reactors were forced to be put in the location over span of two years without able to go home to see other family member. It really put in perspective all the thing I take for granted over the years (family, job, education, environment). From these story, it make me appreciate more about everything I have and should cherish more in my life. Overall, it is a good experience. ...
