Journal Entry April 27, 2025

Today I was able to wake up at 8 AM without any alarm. I went to sleep early so I was able to start my day doing a light morning walk and have breakfast before 10 AM. After waking up, I continue to setup some of the wezterm and also mac os environment. I also dive deeper into the neovim configuration for lazy vim. I also setup a series of shortcut for karabiner element in order to facilitate a consistent experience on mac vs linux in terminal environment (control-shift-c to copy etc). The config can be found at my quickstart github under the dotfile/karabiner. Some example config include, outside terminal we will specify command to map on the control key on the keyboard to also follow standard procedure. I also spent a bit of time to attempt to get the markdown auto complete plugin to work on lazy vim but couldn’t get that to work.

In the afternoon, I went out for a walk in the Washionton Park Arboretum and get home to continue to setting up my dev environment. After tinkering with the neovim guide, I decided to continue just using the lazyvim bundle directly as it is faster so I an get back to writing the first post in the blog and fix some of the dependency issue in hugo theme. Tomorrow will have a lot of work so I will sleep early today. I still have yet to write the design doc for my work project so I will need to get on that first thing tomorrow.
